"We are more than a generation of selfie takers.
We are a generation of change."
Project 404 was a devised piece of theatre using spoken word, physical theatre and multimedia to explore identity in the twenty-first century.
The performance was devised from a workshop process that challenged the world we're currently living in. The themes and stories in the final performance came from the research and minds of our young people.
The final piece explored topics such as LGBTQ+ history and autism. The young performers used research to ensure the performance was sensitive and truthful.
Project 404 was selected as one of the performances at the National Festival of Youth Theatre 2017. Our young performers went to Ayr for the weekend and performed at the Ayr Gaiety Theatre. The show was given a standing ovation from their peers and audience members.
The honest portrayal of these themes spoke to an audience full of young people who celebrate difference and diversity.
